Indian Visa: Proof of UK Residency
As part of the Indian visa UK application process, all applicants must provide valid proof of residency in the UK. This requirement helps to verify your current living situation and is a standard part of the visa application for many countries.
To meet this requirement, you will need to submit two documents as proof of your UK residential address. A copy of each document is acceptable.
Required Documents:
Recent Utility Bill: You must provide a utility bill issued within the current month, clearly showing your name and current UK residential address.
Historical Utility Bill: You must also provide a utility bill that is between 24 and 30 months old, showing your name and UK residential address.
Accepted documents for both requirements include a gas bill, electricity bill, water bill, council tax statement, or landline phone bill. Please note that bank statements are not accepted for this purpose.
For applicants holding an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa, these documents may not be required.
